My way –

how I became the doctor I am.

About me

There have always been two big aspects to my life: Music and medicine.
I was certainly influenced by my parents, who worked in both fields. For a long time, I wanted to be a musical singer.

But at some point, medicine came to the fore again. The urge to help people, whether on a mental, aesthetic or health level, was stronger than anything else.

Not without my family

Family is very, very important to me. I am the mother of two daughters, the older of whom, at just 3 years old, is already running around the house with a doctor's case and a stethoscope hanging around her neck. Will she become a doctor like her mother? Or would she prefer to be an astronaut? We'll see.

My life as a mom also enriches my life as a doctor. I can really put myself in the shoes of many mothers who want to do something for themselves alongside their job and family. For example, by allowing themselves an infusion treatment or a nice Botox treatment from time to time. Especially when you are so fulfilled and involved in life with your family and in an exciting professional life, you shouldn't lose sight of your own needs. This is the only way to gain the strength and joy you need to deal with all demands in a good mood. At least that's how it works for me, and I'm certainly no exception.

I find it incredibly inspiring that my husband is also a doctor, namely in the fields of general medicine, sports medicine and the entire musculoskeletal system. He is also the team doctor for the EHC Kloten, a famous Swiss ice hockey club. Through him, I was also infected by the ice hockey virus (a virus that even I can't or don't want to treat!) and now regularly cheer on the matches.
My husband always gives me good tips when I need advice for my patients. This creates a fulfilling exchange that I wouldn't want to miss.
