Traditional Chinese medicine –

acupuncture, phytotherapy, nutritional advice.

Tried and tested for thousands of years, traditional Chinese medicine has countless remedies and areas of application at its disposal for healing with the power of nature and strengthening well-being and health.

What is traditional Chinese medicine?

Traditional Chinese medicine has a long and rich history as one of the oldest forms of medicine. It is mainly used as an alternative medicine, integrative and complementary to classical conventional medicine, and is based on a systematic and comprehensive theoretical framework of a philosophical nature in Taoism (a spiritual tradition that seeks the return of the human being to a state of consciousness and full life, the Tao). It is based on the premise that our physical and mental health problems are caused by the imbalance and blockage of energy in our bodies. Stagnation and blockage of Qi can have a variety of causes, including poor diet, stress, physical trauma or genetic inheritance.

My path to Chinese medicine

I have undergone extensive training for all the holistic treatments I offer. I practically grew up with Chinese medicine, influenced by my parents, who as therapists work a great deal with osteopathy, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu and traditional Chinese medicine.

That's why I decided during my studies to continue my training in this field alongside conventional medicine, with the support of an excellent teacher of traditional Chinese medicine, whom I still visit regularly for further training.

My Chinese medicine: Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a technique for treating pain and preventing illness and has proven its worth in many areas of treatment.

Acupuncture needles stimulate various functions of the body, releasing chemical substances - neurotransmitters - which have a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory effect and provide a feeling of deep relaxation and well-being.

I use acupuncture primarily for patients who are suffering from great stress and the associated psychological strain and for whom individual infusion therapy in combination with acupuncture can provide noticeable and lasting relief. My patients really appreciate the fact that they can come back to themselves in a relaxed atmosphere and at the same time find a sympathetic ear for all their complaints.

Other Chinese medicine treatments

Cupping

A therapeutic method in which suction cups are placed on the skin. These create a negative pressure with the aim of draining Qi and Xue in the energy channels.

Phytotherapy

A treatment based on the use of vegetables, plants and herbs to reduce energy imbalances, by eliminating surpluses and compensating for deficits. For example, we can use cold herbs to dissipate heat and fire, hot herbs to dispel cold, and other herbs to tonify yin and yang deficiencies.

Moxibustion

This therapy combines herbal medicine and thermotherapy. Certain areas of the body or acupuncture points are heated by burning Artemisia herbs to regulate Qi and Xue and dispel cold and dampness.

When may I welcome you for your treatment?

As you have seen: In addition to acupuncture, Chinese medicine offers a wide range of proven and useful treatment areas, which are also used in my practice when required. I have found that the combination of traditional Chinese techniques with western medicine can lead to excellent results. Here too, my motto is "nothing must, everything can" – not everyone "believes" in the effectiveness of alternative healing methods and I don't force anyone to use them.

However, my experience is that there is an incredible amount that we can learn from 30 centuries of medicine, and an astonishing number of things that it can do.

I would be happy to convince you during a visit to my practice!
